The award-winning Student Research Lab is the central research space at Prudentia Institute. Our primary research is concentrated in the Lab and involves youth (as researchers). Our research focuses on issues of concern to youth and those that support them.
The Lab is both a scholarly research lab and a developmental opportunity for youth. In collaboration with Early Education and Childhood Development, the Student Research Lab is a student-run lab that allows youth to participate in all aspects of the research process including research design, data collection analysis and presentation of findings. The lab is an immersive and experiential co-op placement that helps youth develop research, writing and presentation skills, while earning a full high school credit.
