We are here for all youth and especially for at-risk youth and under-served youth (including, African Nova Scotian youth, Indigenous youth, youth with disabilities, women and girls, 2SLGBTQIA+ youth, new immigrants and refugees, rural youth and youth with socioeconomic barriers. These commitments to inclusivity and Truth and Reconciliation are enacted with the support of our Community Advisory who voluntarily consult on our program development and approaches to help with cultural adaptation, translation, co-creation and accessibility.
Diversity, Equity, Accessibility, and Inclusion are central to our mission. Prudentia Institute fosters an intentional and holistic approach to diversity and inclusion, and in our approach to the empowerment of youth and the research and program development work we undertake. We understand and acknowledge that it is our collective responsibility to foster engagement, visibility, inclusion, and representation.
In a context where we are trying to create truly meaningful and authentic relationships with the Indigenous communities and Indigenous youth, we acknowledge that the land on which Prudentia Institute resides is unceded.
We understand that all of us have rights and responsibilities under the Peace and Friendship Treaties.
